Abilar® 10% Resin Salve is manufactured from refined resin of Norway spruce from Finnish Lapland. The wound balm is used for the topical treatment of infected and non-infected wounds, at home and in professional use. The wounds can be acute or chronic, e.g. laceration, abrasion, fissure, burn, pressure ulcer, diabetic ulcer, surgical wound complication or an opened abscess.

Instructions for use:
• Clean the laceration, abrasion or wound and dry it carefully.
• Apply a thin layer of Abilar® 10% Resin Salve directly onto the affected area once or twice a day.
• If needed, cover the treated area with a breathable dressing or plaster for added protection.
Storage:
• Once opened, the product will remain stable at room temperature for up to 1 year.
• If unopen, it can remain stable for up to 5 years.
• Expiry date is printed on the tube.
Note:
• When treating wound cavities or opened abscesses, follow the instructions given by a wound care nurse or a doctor.
• No clinically significant interactions are known.
• The usage of salve does not affect the ability to drive or the ability to use machines

A1. Apply a small amount of Abilar 10% Resin Salve to a small area of your skin and monitor for any signs of allergic reactions (e.g. itching, redness, swelling, blisters, etc) within 3 days.
Q2: Can I use Abilar® 10% Resin Salve during pregnancy or lactation?
A2: It is not recommended so far, although there is no study data about the possible adverse effects during pregnancy and lactation.
Q3: Are there any known interactions with Abilar® 10% Resin Salve when taken with other medications?
A3: There are no clinically significant interactions known for Abilar® 10% Resin Salve with other medications. However, it is recommended to consult a physician before starting any new treatment, especially if you are currently on other medications.
Q4: Does using Abilar® 10% Resin Salve affect my ability to drive?
A4: The use of Abilar® 10% Resin Salve is not known to impair the ability to drive or operate machinery.
Q5: Can Abilar® 10% Resin Salve be used on children?
A5: There is no contraindication on the use of Abilar® 10% Resin Salve in children.
• The wound balm contains substances that may cause allergic skin reactions in individuals who are resin-sensitive.
• If allergic symptoms appear during the course of the treatment, the use of Abilar 10% Resin Salve must be discontinued immediately and other therapy should be instituted.
• The salve may not be used during pregnancy and lactations.
• Abilar 10% Resin Salve should not be used in or around the eyes.
